Halloween

Well, this is my first official blog entry and since I haven't done this before, it may be a bit rough. It is Halloween and the Sprops (our family nickname) are at a cabin in Reedsburg. We have some great friends who allow us to use their cabin on Dutch Hollow Lake whenever we can find the time to get away. We figured since Ellia is only almost 14 months old and Lincoln a month, they are likely to forget that we never took her trick or treating this year:)

We drove up yesterday and spent 4+ hours in the car...which is a huge accomplishment since Ellia has despised the car all her short life. She did awesome - two short naps and lots of singing helped. Only one big meltdown when she saw her bottle and was told there wasn't any milk. We ventured to the Organic Valley retail store to take care of that problem, which lengthened our trip, but we got milk, chocolate milk and Ellia's first bites of string cheese - she enjoyed that which was surprising since she hasn't really liked cheese unless it's melted. Lincoln slept practically the whole time with one feeding in the middle of the car trip. Unbelievable:)

There is never a dull moment in life with Ellia! Just a second ago, Miss Curious decided to take my glass of water off the table and spilled half of it on the floor before I figured out what she was up to. She is the most curious kid and has been since she exited the womb! I believe this characteristic will serve her well, but may get her into a bit of trouble.

I'm so anxious to see the little persons my babies will become. But I'm trying very hard to savor every moment, even the ones where I want to pull my hair out, for I know it goes too darn fast!
